Y Cwtch’ is a beautiful self catering cottage for two, situated in a prime position near the estuary in Newport Pembs. Its charming position and comfortable facilities, including private parking, will make your stay in Newport a memorable one.

The ground floor provides an open plan spacious kitchen adjacent to the dining/living area, and downstairs bathroom.
A beautiful light and airy double bedroom is situated on the upper level with double windows opening out onto views of Nevern estuary and the Parrog a 5 minute walk away. The patio doors open onto a small private garden with seating for you to enjoy the sunny weather!

Within a 5 minute walk you are in the centre of the medieval market town of Newport, which offers a variety of things to do and places to visit. There are also many walks around the town and Carningli mountain which is visible from the cottage, or around Newport, and along the coastline which is noted for its beauty.

To the north of Carningli are the Preseli range of Mountains. Maps and directions are located on the windowsill in the dining area.

Beaches – The Parrog is situated 4 minutes walk from Y Cwtch, as you come out from the lane onto Long Street turn left for 100 metres and you are on the estuary, Just walk down to the sea!
The big beach, can either be accessed by wading across the river from the Parrog or by driving round to Newport Golf Links situated above the beach.
Newport Tourist Information centre is located on Long Street opposite the car park and is a great source of local information and bus services. The local bus service is from Richards Brothers, Newport.

Useful things provided at Y Cwtch include leaflets and pamphlets on local places to see, OS Maps, Coast to Coast Newspaper from Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, visitors book, and a notice board for important numbers and/or local events

Y Cwtch has central heating, bed linen is provided, as are towels in the bathroom where a washing machine is also situated. There are two smoke alarms at Y Cwtch; one situated on the ground floor in the kitchen, and one in the first floor bedroom.

Local Facilities – There is a Spar supermarket in Newport on Market Street which is open from 8am –10pm 7 days a week.
Fishguard which is 7 miles to the south west has a Co-op. Cardigan which is 11 miles to the north has a Tesco.

Local Shops – Monday morning Market with local produce and a variety of items 9am – 1pm
The Butchers Shop is located on Market Street, and is open Monday to Saturday 8am –4.30
The Chemist is on Market Street, open from 9am – 5.30 Monday to Friday and 9am – 12.30 on Saturdays.
The Wholefood Shop is located on the Main Street and is open 9am – 5.30 Monday to Saturday.
Havards the Ironmongers is located on the Main Street and is open 9.30 – 5 Mondays to Saturday.
